School Visits

Education is a large component of The Washington County Humane Society’s mission. Our Humane Educator goes into schools, after-school programs and day care centers teaching children about responsible pet care, bite prevention, and the role of the Humane Society in their community. Scout and church groups visit the shelter for tours and presentations as well. Approximately 1500 school-age children benefit from these programs annually.
