River

The wait is over!

My spouse and I have been waiting for a dog for so long. When we got back from our vacation, PAWS was having an adoption event. We went and found 2 dogs we were interested in. We asked the workers if either were good with cats and sadly they weren’t a good match for us. My spouse was like, okay well let’s go. I said NO I WANT TO GO LOOK ONE MORE TIME.  We the found Selene (now River) and were told she might be good with cats.

Even though River is a big boy, he has the softest squeak. He will not meow but will repeatedly make “eh” sounds. Lately, he has picked up our resident cat’s mannerisms and has begun trilling.

We’re so thankful for him and PAWS for bringing us together.
